Amid the rolling hills of the classical and enchanting Tuscan countryside lies the town of Lucca. Perched on one of these hills surrounded by centuries old olive trees, stands the hilltop retreat Villa Lucca with its large swimming pool. Perfectly in tune with nature, the villa Lucca is a haven of calm and tranquillity, a corner of paradise surrounded by endless panorama, ideal for walking, hiking, cycling and for all nature lovers. A true highlight of this villa is its extensive Mediterranean gardens, perfect for outdoor living, with many typical Italian shrubs and trees such as orange trees, lavender bushes and rose bushes. A pretty summerhouse, complete with sun beds, furniture and barbeque for outside dining, invite guests to relax in the shade or soak up the Tuscan sun. The villa dates back to the end of the 19th century, built by Carlo del Prete especially for his secret mistress lover, a painter whose pictures are still hanging in the villa today. The villa contains: - cellar - ground floor - 1st floor - garden with garden furniture - olive grove with swimming pool Ground floor The delightful entrance, with original frescoes in the hallway, leads through to the large and spacious kitchen which has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is decorated with white painted French furniture consisting of a dining table with chairs and a large credenza. Amenities include a fridge-freezer, electric cooker with oven, micro wave and coffee machine. Next to the kitchen is the living room where all the walls have been painted with frescoes. The living room contains a very comfortable damask covered sofa, 2 large red velvet covered armchairs and 2 "Toile de Jouy" covered armchairs, 2 round side tables and a piano. There is also a HI-FI , satellite TV and DVD. Stone steps lead up to a bathroom which has a marble bathtub. 1st Floor A stone staircase leads up to the first floor, comprising of 4 bedrooms and a 2nd bathroom with a marble shower. There are 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms and all bedrooms contain crystal glass lamps for that romantic touch. Cellar There is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer available for use. Swimming Pool A large, modern swimming pool 16 x 7 m will be available to guests as from April 2012. This new designed salt water pool contains common salt, apportioned to tear fluid and distinguishable by its typical smell. The salt is generated via an automatically controlled electrolytical process Natrium Hypochlorid, an alternative method of sanitising the system in a more natural way to avoid or reduce the use of additional chemical disinfectants. The pool and sunbathing area is set approximately 50 m from the villa in the middle of an olive grove. Unfortunately there are no photos available as yet. The villa is within easy reach of grocery stores, supermarkets and delicatessen stores as well as restaurants and a chemist just 2-3 km away. There are tennis courts approx. 6km and a golf course 20 km away. The town of Lucca is 6 km away, Pisa 20km, Florence 70km and Siena 120km. To the sea and the beach is just 15 km.
