Nestled between the gentle rolling green hills of southern Tuscany (province Livorno), and not far from the famous Etruscan coast,
is the Holiday Villa Campiglia 1. Surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of the idyllic green countryside and with wonderful sandy beaches in close
proximity, this location offers the perfect setting to relax and enjoy your holidays. An age-old chestnut grove borders the property
and is home to many species of fauna and flora. A singing nightingale can often be heard late in the evening.
This former farmhouse has been lovingly restored and modernised in typical Tuscan style and in keeping with its natural surroundings,
and converted into 8 comfortable 2-room holiday apartments. 4 apartments can be found on the ground floor, 3 on the first floor
and 1 apartment on the top floor. All the apartments are charmingly furnished in typical rustic Tuscan style and equipped with heating,
air conditioning, security alarm, a small safe, satellite TV, internet connections (ADSL) and telephone.
Each apartment also has a private garden area with barbeque grill and garden furniture as well as a shaded parking space.
The swimming pool also has a built-in whirlpool for relaxing.

Locally-owned Restaurant:
Just 800m away in the local village of Campiglia is the proprietor's own restaurant with pizzeria.
Francesco's infamous pizzas can be deliciously enjoyed outside on the piazza.
There are also many varied pasta dishes on the menu as well as a large choice of meat and fish dishes, and to be rounded off with
one of Virginia's homemade desserts.
For wine connoisseurs be warned, the area is well known for its excellent wines, for example the "Rosso di Bolgheri"
or "Vini della Val di Cornia" !

The Holiday Villa Campiglia is well located making it an excellent vantage point for excursions and day trips to all
the famous sights and cultural cities of Tuscany:
Pisa (approx. 90 km), Florence (approx. 150 km), Siena (approx. 100 km), Volterra (approx. 70 km), S. Gimignano (approx. 108 km)
are all easily accessible by car.
Also nearby are many other places of interest:
Campiglia Marittima:
The ancient village of Campiglia Marittima lies in the valley 'Val di Cornia'.
Interesting here is a visit to the old mine, the archaeological museum or the
museum in the San Silvestro park or even just a leisurely stroll through narrow streets and the delightful park!
The Etruscan Coast:
The splendid Etruscan coastline with its wonderful natural beaches (nature preserve Rimigliano),
the gulf of Baratti and the town of Populonia, (original settlement of the Etruscans)
as well as the gulf of Follonica are all just a few minutes drive away.
A cycling excursion to the beach or a tour inland is also an enjoyable day out.
Terme "Il Calidario":
Just 3,5 km away is the thermal bath "Il Calidario". Here one can relax in wonderful surroundings and enjoy
the experience of the healing waters. A restaurant and shaded picnic area are also available.
Pure relaxation is guaranteed !
Suvereto:
The medieval town of Suvereto, surrounded by varied vegetation, endless rows of grapevines and olive trees, is renowned
for its excellent wines and olive oil, as well as its culinary specialities and authentic Tuscan cuisine from the Maremma region.

Suvereto has also received a commendation and recognition from the society I borghi piu belli d`Italia, as one of Italy's
most attractive and best preserved towns !!
Other destinations worth a visit are Castagneto Caducci, Carbonifera, S. Vincenzo and Baratti.
The harbour and port of Piombino, with ferry service to the Island of Elba as well as other islands
of the "Tuscan Archipelago" such as Giglio and Giannutri, is just 25 km away.
