In an idyllic setting in the Valdarno valley lies the villa Castelfranco, positioned on a hillside with views overlooking the surrounding hills of Pratomagno (500m)
and across the Arno valley. Ideally situated too for excursions and day trips to the neighbouring Chianti Classico region and the cities of Florence, Arezzo, Siena etc.
Its location in the heart of the Tuscan countryside offers everything that Tuscany fans appreciate: stunning landscape and scenery,
tranquillity, harmony with the surrounding nature, excellent wines and glorious gastronomy as well as rich artistic and cultural heritage.
The villa is divided into 6 apartments on 2 floors:
- 3 x 2-room apartments
- 2 x 2,5-room apartments (or 2 x 1-room + 2 x 1,5-room)
- 1 x 3-room apartment
- 1 x breakfast room
Both the 2,5-room apartments can be divided into 2 studio apartments and rented separately.
A swimming pool (in use from: 01.05. - 30.09.), a bar/snack bar (during high season) and mountain bikes are available on site.
During the main season (July and August) a typical Tuscan Menu, which includes local traditional dishes, is prepared twice a week and served outside; on Saturdays
(prepared using local produce) and Wednesdays (barbeque).
The warm and welcoming owners offer a very family friendly atmosphere where children, apart from swimming, can enjoy various games and
activities and amuse and entertain themselves. One can relax and meet other guests and their children as well as simply enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings.
An enjoyable outing can also be had just 20 minutes away where you can find a range of outlet stores for a quick shopping spree: Gucci, Prada, D&G, Valentino !!

Location / area
Castelfranco Di Sopra ("di sopra" means above) lies in the Arno valley approximately 35 km south of Florence, at the foot of
the "Pratomagno-Massivs" overlooking the magnificent surrounding Chianti landscape of rolling vineyards and olive groves.
A typical Tuscan medieval hilltop retreat, Castelfrancos history dates back 750 yrs, which is reflected in its classic medieval
town centre and the central piazza from the 15th century. The town was constructed in the 13th century by the Florentines for
military purposes. Within the town walls are typical medieval and renaissance buildings and houses, cobbled streets and lanes. Just outside the
walls is the Badia di Soffena abbey. After recent restauration work, the abbey has regained its medieval elegance. The villa Castelfranco
is situated just 3 km up from the town of Castelfranco.
