Nestled amongst the hills in the picturesque and idyllic landscape of southern Tuscany, province Livorno, and situated just a few kilometres from the coast, is the medieval town of Suvereto. The apartments Suvereto are contained within a beautiful and historical building complex that was once an old monastery and which is situated in the centre of this amazingly well preserved and ancient, historical town. The apartments have all been fully renovated offering very comfortable accommodation in a very special and authentic atmosphere.

There are altogether 15 Apartments, all varying in size and shape, but all sharing this remarkable architecture and all in keeping with the charm and beauty and warmth of typical Tuscan-style housing interiors. All apartments contain modern conveniences to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

The medieval town of Suvereto

The ancient monastery with its 15 apartments, is located in the town of Suvereto, in Val di Cornia. Surrounded by varied vegetation, endless rows of grapevines and olive trees, Suvereto is renowned for its excellent wines and olive oil, as well as its culinary specialities and authentic Tuscan cuisine from the Maremma region. (Distinguished as: Cittá del Vino, Cittá dell´Olio, Slow-Food). Due to its many well preserved and maintained historical buildings and monuments, as well as its urban structure, Suvereto has also received a commendation and recognition from the society „I borghi piu belli d`Italia“, as one of Italy's most attractive and best preserved towns !!

	"La cittá dell' olio" (Important olive oil producing region/town) Commendation received from the Association of Italian olive oil producing towns and regions.

	"Bandiera Arancione " the highest commendation given by the "Touring Club Italiano" for quality of life! The commendation is given to communities which promote tourism with emphasis on environmental, historical and cultural aspects.

Due to its central location, Suvereto is a perfect base for excursions to all the important sightseeing towns and cities in Tuscany: Pisa (approx. 90 km), Florence (approx. 150 km), Siena (approx. 100 km), Volterra (approx. 70 km), S. Gimignano (approx. 76 km).

The Etruscan coast with its wonderful natural beaches, the gulf of Baratti and gulf of Follonica for example, are just 15 minutes away by car. Venturina with its thermal baths "Il Calidario" (9 km), Carbonifera (16 km), S. Vincenzo (19 km), Baratti (20 km). The harbour and port of Piombino, with ferry service to the Island of Elba as well as other islands of the "Tuscan Archipelago" such as Giglio and Giannutri, is just 25 km away.

- 10 minutes away by car is Campiglia M.ma which lies in the same valley, Val di Cornia. Interesting here is a visit to the old mine, the archaeological museum or the museum in the San Silvestro park or even just a leisurely stroll through the park!

- 9 km further on from Campiglia is the thermal lake Calidario. Here one can relax in wonderful surroundings and enjoy the experience of the healing waters. A restaurant and shaded picnic area are also available.
